I'm so impressed with this yoga mat! For my personal practice, I do hot yoga (at 85 degrees, not 114,) and I have been fine without adding a non-skid towel over it. I also teach Hatha yoga at regular temperatures. This mat has lasted about a year now of use, and while I absolutely do not recommend leaving it in a hot car, I am guilty of forgetting it for days and it has survived that too (in Arizona.) But definitely do not do it, because I've ruined other mats this way (from another manufacturer--the one that has bumps on it-- the heat deformed the material.). Anyway, the mat is stunning and the design assures me that I have the knife of the foot aligned properly with every step. I've been complimented on the design a bunch of times!
